Allen Pool

Can I bring food and drink into the pool area?

Yes.  We do allow outside food and drink into our pool.  We do not allow glass, alcohol, BBQ grills, or cooking.

Do you allow flotation devices?

Yes.  We allow flotation devices for children in the shallow end of the pool.  Please note that non-swimmers are not allowed in the deep end of the pool; therefore anyone in a floatation device MUST remain in the shallow end.


Is there a concession stand?

Yes.  A concession stand is located at the pool.


When is my child allowed to use the diving board or the slide?

We do not have an age restriction on the diving board or slide, but anyone using them must be able to swim independently.  Please keep your child's abilities and stamina in mind.  Many young children will tire easily.  Lifeguards will ask young swimmers who appear to be tired to swim in the shallow end. Parents should be mindful of where their swimmers are at all times!

Floatation devices are not permitted on the diving board or slide!

Parents may not catch non swimmers from the diving board or slide.

What happens when it rains, thunders, and/or lightnings?

The pool will be closed in the event of thunder or lightning and will remain closed for a minimum of 30 minutes after the last event.  If it rains hard enough that the staff cannot see the bottom of the pool, the pool will close until the bottom is visible again.  Staff at Allen Pool will close the pool in the event of a health or safety concern.

How will I know if the pool is closed?

Staff will post any closings on our social media accounts and on the home page of this website.  You may also call us at 740-695-5077.

Can I smoke or vape at the pool?

No.  Smoking is prohibited inside the pool area.  Smokers must go to the designated smoking area outside of the pool.

Do I still have to pay if I'm not going to swim?

Yes.  All guests are required to pay admission.

Do you have a lost and found?

The lost and found is located behind the front desk.  Please claim your items! Unclaimed items will be donated to charity or disposed of.

If I leave the swimming pool to go to another area of the park, do I need to pay admission again?

No.  Your admission is an all day pass.  Re-entry is allowed.

Can we register for an shelter online?

No.  We do not offer online reservations for shelters at this time.  Please call 740-298-2787 to reserve your shelter.

Is pool admission included in shelter rentals?

No.  Pool admission is a separate cost.
